Conversion of a Commercial Building to a Private Home
Client - Private
Previously used for commercial purposes this building required an exensive refurbishment to transform it into a family home.
Upon our arrival the building had been subject to a soft strip which allowed clear foresight to the work ahead. The existing section of the building required a new timber roof structure and upgraded wall sections to allow us to lay a rag-stone facade. The design incorporated a new two storey extension including a internal double gargae space. The new build was of solid construction with a oak weather board cladding, which provides a great contrast to the rag-stone.
The new mechanical and electrical services to the building included a Air to Air Heat Pump installation for the heating and provision of hot water. Underfloor heating throughout. A good specification Electrical Package, including some modest Audio Visual elements have really future proofed this family home for future generations.
This project which was completed at the beginning of 2017 was a pleasure to undertake.
